The LORD didn't want to see anyone perish, but they continued to reject Him

One of the many examples of why everyone needs to read the Bible for themselves instead of listening to the opinions of what others think about the Bible.
Without reading it in its entirety, many claim that the God of the Old Testament is a wrathful, unloving God. However, that couldn't be further from the truth! The LORD repeatedly pleaded with His people Israel to turn back to Him, to stop being unfaithful, and stop doing horrible things.

The LORD would send prophet after prophet telling them to turn back to Him. He didn't want to see anyone perish, but they continued to reject Him and go their own way, breaking His heart.

Heavenly Father,
Lift the blinders from our hearts and minds
and reveal to us Who you really are.
Your precious Word teaches us that You desire for everyone to live
and for no one to die.
Show us Your love and Your peace today.
Thank You for being patient with us, O LORD,
and lead us onto the path that leads to life.
