Looking back on this week at P346, I am grateful for every opportunity God gave us to show up for our neighbors. Each delivery brought an opportunity to connect, listen, share a smile, and remind someone that they are loved.
Throughout the week, P346 distributed 4,092 pounds of food, completing 34 deliveries and outreach events. Behind those numbers are people we care about deeply—families, residents of our local low-income housing communities, and our friends experiencing homelessness.
This week’s report included:
We began the week on Sunday, October 4, with a delivery to Hotel Lafayette. After having to cancel Saturday’s homeless outreach because of Garlic Fest congestion in Downtown Easton, we were especially happy to return with food on Sunday. We had missed spending that time with our friends, and we were thankful for the opportunity to serve the hotel that day.
On Tuesday, October 6, our deliveries reached 6 families and Walter House. A heartfelt SHOUTOUT to ProJeCt of Easton for their generous food donation, which helped support our family deliveries and outreach to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to work together to help food reach people who need it.
Wednesday, October 7, brought deliveries to Bushkill House, Hotel Lafayette, and Lutheran Manor. Serving these low-income housing communities is an important part of our week. Bringing food directly to our neighbors helps make that support more accessible while giving us another opportunity to build relationships with the people we serve.
On Thursday, October 8, we delivered to 7 families and hosted our Homeless Outreach Food Distribution at Hotel Lafayette. It was a lovely day spending time with our Hotel Lafayette family, talking and enjoying one another’s company. I love those opportunities to slow down, share some laughter, and simply be together.
Our work continued on Friday, October 9, with deliveries to 7 families and Bushkill House. Thank you to everyone who helped keep the food moving and made another day of deliveries possible. Every pickup, every box prepared, and every stop along the way takes someone willing to give their time.
We finished the week on Saturday, October 10, delivering to 6 families and hosting another Homeless Outreach Food Distribution at Hotel Lafayette. I truly enjoyed spending time chatting with the families throughout the day, then visiting with the hotel residents and our homeless friends during outreach. We always love spending time with our friends. The conversations, laughter, and familiar faces are such a meaningful part of this ministry.
A very special SHOUTOUT to Patti Collins, our Director of Deliveries, for the wonderful work she does behind the scenes. Week in and week out, Patti organizes and schedules our deliveries, helping turn a busy calendar into opportunities to serve. Patti, thank you for the care, time, and dedication you pour into our neighbors and this ministry.
To Deb DeLucca and Bob Rindos, thank you for your continued help and the heart you bring to P346. We appreciate your willingness to give your time and serve alongside us.
And to the entire crew at P346—THANK YOU! From picking up food and preparing boxes to making deliveries and helping at outreach, your work makes these days possible. So much happens before a delivery ever reaches someone’s door, and I am grateful for every person who plays a part.
As we look back on these 4,092 pounds of food shared, my prayer is that our neighbors also felt welcomed, valued, and cared for. We thank God for His provision and for every opportunity to put our faith into action.
P346 — Sharing the love of Christ with every delivery.
