I cried out to You, You heard me and shattered the locks and chains of my oppression

Heavenly Father,
When I was trapped in a dark prison
and felt forgotten and alone,
You heard me cry out to You.
I was stuck in a prison created out of
my rebellion to You.
But when I was weak and lost all hope
I cried out to You, You heard me
and shattered the locks and chains of my oppression.
You set me free from my prison
and rescued me from my enemies.
When I deserved the life of a slave
You welcomed me home as a son.
May Your Name forever be praised
for the love, kindness, and mercy You show
to those who call on Your Name.
